Achievement of the world’s strongest pulsed muon beam
The MUSE group at the Institute of Materials Structure Science, KEK, succeeded in extracting the world’s strongest pulsed muon beam, 2,500,000 muons per pulse (proton beam intensity of 212 kW) to the U1 experimental area at the Materials and Life Science Experimental Facility (MLF) at the Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex (J-PARC). Ana Arana Antelo, Head of Unit of Research Infrastructures of the European Commission, has visited the NMI3 coordinator at the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) on the 21st of November. Read more
The 3rd Neutron & Muon PR network meeting in Grenoble
On October 15 in Grenoble, press officers from various neutron and muon European institutions met for the third time. The meeting focused on the development of the future web platform ‘neutronsources.org’. Read more
