Interview with Giovanna Fragneto
Giovanna Fragneto is a Senior Fellow for Soft Condensed Matter at the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL). Within NMI3, she is the coordinator of the task “A platform for model biological membranes for structural and dynamical characterisations” of the Joint Research Activity (JRA) “Advanced Neutron Tools for Soft and Bio-Materials”.
In a short interview, she told Inês Crespo how neutrons are helping her on her research work. Read more
EU leaders reach agreement on 2014-20 budget
The European Union’s negotiations in Brussels have resulted in a multi-year budget for 2014-2020. For the first time the EU is imposing a real-terms cut in budget spending. Read more
Call for Horizon 2020 advisors
The European Commission has launched a call asking experts from all fields to participate in shaping the agenda of Horizon 2020, the European Union’s future funding programme for research and innovation. This marks the first time that the Commission has launched such a call for its research programme. Read more
NMI3 meeting in Garching
In the beginning of the month, from 4 to 7 December, the members of the NMI3 Board , Advisory Committee and General Assembly have met at the Technische Universität München in Garching, Germany, for one more General Assembly. This meeting marked the end of NMI3-I, the first phase of funding of the project, and also the last meeting of Helmut Schober as coordinator of NMI3-I. Read more
