EU leaders reach agreement on 2014-20 budget

The European Union's negotiations in Brussels have resulted in a multi-year budget for 2014-2020. For the first time the EU is imposing a real-terms cut in budget spending.

MLZ: New center for neutron research in Germany

TUM and Helmholtz Centers celebrated the inauguration of the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum (MLZ).

Interview with Giovanna Fragneto

Giovanna Fragneto is a Senior Fellow for Soft Condensed Matter at the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL). Within NMI3, she is the coordinator of the task “A platform for model biological membranes for structural and dynamical characterisations” of the Joint Research Activity (JRA) “Advanced Neutron Tools for Soft and Bio-Materials”. In a short interview, she told Inês Crespo how neutrons are helping her on her research work.

NMI3 Industry Workshop at ICNS 2013

As requested by the European Commission, NMI3 will hold two events to explore interaction between neutron and muon facilities with industry. There will be two events, one this year concerning 'industry as a supplier' to our facilities while the second, to be held in 2014, will focus on 'industry as a user'. The purpose of these meetings is to define how this interaction between facilities and industry can be improved and developed in the forthcoming Horizon 2020 programme.
