Neutronsources.org launched
On the 8th of July the neutronsources.org website went live. Supported by a network of Press Officers and coordinated by NMI3, this website aims to contain comprehensive and useful neutron-related information.

NMI3-II General Assembly 2013
The first General Assembly of NMI3-II took place on June 20-21 in Berlin. The project, funded under the second phase of funding of the European Commission 7th Framework Programme, already counts with 15 months of activity, so it was time to take stock of the work developed.

NMI3 was present at the ICNS2013
NMI3 had a stand where delegates could taste special sweet ultra cold neutrons with chocolate quarks inside while appreciating the posters with the results of the NMI3 Joint Research Activities or reading the recently published brochure NMI3: a success story.

CETS 2013 – conversations with the participants
The 2013 edition of the Central European Training School, supported by NMI3, took place in 27 – 31 May in Budapest, Hungary. We attended the school to promote NMI3 and to talk with the school’s participants and organisers.

Experiments in millionths of a second
Muons provide scientists with important insights into the structure of matter. They provide information about processes in modern materials, properties of elementary particles and the nature of our physical world. Many muon experiments are only possible at the Paul Scherrer Institute because of the unique intense muon beams available there.
